The Neighborhood Feasts

Summertime is the period of the neighborhood feasts. Throughout the summer alternating religious celebrations, bound to ancient confraternities, take place with moments of popular entertainment, such as concerts, bocce games and, particularly, the banquets where specialties such as "polenta" (cornmeal pudding) of August and "scioli pini" (stuffed onions) are served.
But the most peculiar event of the feasts is the launching of the multicolored aerostatic balloons. A tradition lost in the mists of time.
