Besides the cultural visits, San Giorgio also offers the possibility of pleasant excursions in its natural surroundings.

Its particular position, in a transition zone between the fluvial and alluvial territory and that of the Morainic Amphitheater of Ivrea, permit the visitor to move in a varied natural environment. They can pass from the fluvial area of the Orco, (named "l'eva d'or", that means "the golden water", because of the gold particles that they can find in the sand), which is a summer meeting point for bathers within a stone's throw from the small town of Cortereggio, to the morainic hills of Misobolo where among mushrooms-rich woods they can find the vineyards of the vintage Erbaluce.
