The rich history of San Giorgio left numerous traces which can set up some cues for interesting free time visits

In a commanding position over the village stands the imposing castle of the Counts of Biandrate. Composed by two main buildings, one smaller and older (12th -14th century) and the other one larger, which underwent radical interventions in the 1700’s, the castle had a defensive function in origin and subsequently was transformed into a luxurious residence.

This monument is part of the tourist circuit "10 castles in Canavese", conceived by the Azienda di Promozione Turistica del Canavese" (Canavese Tourist Promotion Agency).
